We are seeking a meticulous and versatile Accounting Assistant to join our team.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:

This role will support various accounting functions while also handling vendor insurance tracking and compliance. The ideal candidate will handle banking questionnaires and surveys, conduct internal audits, sort and verify mail, and provide general administrative support. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment are essential.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures the integrity and accuracy of financial records through diligent management and support of accounting processes.
  • Safeguards the company’s interests by ensuring vendors comply with insurance requirements.
  • Provides critical support in the preparation and maintenance of financial reports and documentation.
  • Facilitates smooth office operations by managing essential administrative tasks.
  • Contributes to the ongoing improvement and compliance of the organization through audits and special projects.

 

Required Qualifications:  

  • 1-2 years of experience as an Accounting Assistant or a similar role.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate’s degree in accounting or a related field is preferred.
  • Accounting Principles: Basic understanding of accounting practices and financial regulations.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
  • Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with team members and vendors.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and thoroughness in all aspects of work.
  • Proactivity and Flexibility: A willingness to take on any assigned task and proactively seek additional work when current responsibilities are complete.
  • Integrity and Professionalism: High level of ethical conduct and professionalism in handling sensitive information.

 

Salary:
  
 $25/hr.
