Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Asset Management Analyst to join our Asset Management team. This role will support the team through financial reporting, performance monitoring, and market research for Ovation’s multifamily portfolio. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, organized, and enthusiastic about leveraging technology—including AI—to increase efficiency and improve business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports and dashboards for asset performance tracking.
  • Modeling & Analysis: Maintain and update Excel-based financial models, analyze variances in revenue, expenses, and NOI, and support forecasting efforts.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs including occupancy, rent growth, leasing velocity, and renewal trends across the portfolio.
  • Market Research: Conduct rent comp studies, track new supply and submarket activity, and assist in quarterly market outlook updates.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Partner with property management teams to collect data, resolve discrepancies, and support pricing and budget alignment.
  • Strategic Support: Contribute to initiatives involving revenue management, capital planning, and operational performance improvement.
  • Presentation Prep: Assist with materials for internal and external stakeholders, including ownership updates and investment strategy meetings.
  • System Administration: Assist with system administration and data management across internal platforms, including the investment management system (IMS).

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, Business, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in asset management, real estate finance, or a related analytical role; internships will also be considered.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial modeling. A skills-based Excel test will be part of the interview process.
  • Familiarity with revenue management and property management platforms (e.g., Yardi, RealPage) is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze large data sets with accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Tech-forward mindset with a willingness to embrace AI and other emerging technologies to drive efficiency and improve outcomes.

 

Compensation and Benefits

Salary:

Starting at 65k DOE
